- Amos hauls dirt and moves water hoses. He brings Prax new slides and equipment from the storage compartment. And, after Prax shows him how, he pulls a bunch of plants from their pots, digs his big fingers up into tangled roots to free them. Root-bound, Prax calls it, when a plant confined to a small space doesn't have any more room to grow.
